About The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to join our Maintenance team based at Kemerton just North of Bunbury, in the idyllic South West of WA and is offered on a permanent basis working a 9 day fortnight, 38 hour average week.  

The Electrical & Instrumentation Technician is responsible for supporting the plants upkeep and maintenance. Main duties include:

  • Maintenance and fault finding on Electrical, Instrumentation and Honeywell DCS systems
  • Fixed Plant inspections and maintenance
  • Assist in operational tasks to minimise plant downtime, including preparing and isolating equipment
  • Complete work orders and appropriate reporting to a high standard to ensure accurate and detailed information is entered into Tronox’s Systems
  • Statutory testing and inspections including log book entry
  • Installing and commissioning modifications and design changes to control, instrument and electrical equipment in accordance with standards.
  • Utilising SAP to obtain parts and complete documentation/reports as required.
  • Participation in team projects and sharing continuous improvement ideas that may enhance maintenance, safety, process and cost reduction.
  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and workmanship.  

About you

To be successful in your application you will ideally need to possess:

  • Electrical Trade Certificate (essential)
  • Cert IV instrumentation (essential)
  • HV switching certification (desirable)
  • High risk licence; forklift, working at heights, confined space
  • Hazardous area certification (desirable)
  • Experience with gas appliances (desirable)
  • Fixed Plant experience and the ability to interpret engineering drawings (desirable)
