Job Description

Direct Personnel is a leading labour hire and managed workforce provider with expertise in industrial services, including manufacturing, maintenance, and logistics.

Our client is a prominent building company based in North Brisbane, specializing in various building and civil construction projects throughout Queensland. They are seeking an experienced Contracts Administrator to join their team on a full-time basis.

As a Contracts Administrator, you will play a crucial role in managing contract processes and ensuring that all contractual obligations are met. Your expertise will contribute to the successful execution of building and civil projects by overseeing contract negotiations, pricing, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead negotiations with clients to secure profitable contracts and agreements
  • Prepare accurate estimates and pricing for variation works
  • Conduct project forecasting to predict financial outcomes and manage cost control measures
  • Act as the primary contact for communication with government bodies, clients, consultants, suppliers, and other external parties
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all contracts and related documentation
  • Prepare basic structural design sketches and mark up engineering drawings as needed

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Contracts Administrator within the building and construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of contract law and commercial terms.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project forecasting, cost control, and budget reporting.
  • Ability to manage and coordinate with various external stakeholders.
  • Experience in providing structural design support and working with engineering drawings is desirable.
