NSE7 Certified Network Security Engineer for Managed Service Provider (MSP)

As an NSE7 Certified Network Security Engineer at our Managed Service Provider (MSP), you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining network security solutions for our clients. Your expertise in Fortinet's NSE7 certification and network security technologies will ensure that our clients' networks are secure, resilient, and optimized for performance. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, clients, and internal stakeholders to deliver exceptional network security services that meet and exceed industry standards.

Responsibilities:

1. Network Security Implementation:
   • Design and implement Fortinet network security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, VPNs, and more.
   • Configure and fine-tune security policies, rules, and access controls based on clients' specific security requirements.
2. Incident Management and Response:
   • Monitor network security events and alerts to detect and mitigate potential security threats in a timely manner.
   • Investigate security incidents, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
3. Network Performance Optimization:
   • Collaborate with clients to assess their network security needs and recommend solutions that enhance security without compromising performance.
   • Continuously optimize network security configurations to ensure minimal impact on network speed and usability.
4. Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
   • Provide expert-level technical support to clients, addressing their network security concerns, inquiries, and issues.
   • Perform in-depth troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve complex network security problems.
5. Security Audits and Assessments:
   • Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential weaknesses in clients' networks.
   • Generate comprehensive reports detailing security findings and recommendations for remediation.
6. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
   • Maintain accurate documentation of network security configurations, changes, and incident reports.
   • Share knowledge with team members and contribute to the development of best practices and standard operating procedures.
7. Client Engagement and Relationship Management:
   • Communicate effectively with clients, understanding their security needs and offering tailored solutions.
   • Build strong client relationships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.

Requirements:

• NSE7 certification from Fortinet or equivalent network security certifications.
• Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing network security solutions.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, firewall concepts, intrusion detection/prevention systems, VPNs, and security best practices.
• Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting Fortinet security products.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex security issues.
• Effective communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple client projects simultaneously.
• Familiarity with industry compliance standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) is a plus.
