Nuclear Medicine/PET Technologist

I-MED is pleased to be offering an exciting new full time, permanent opportunityfor an Nuclear Medicine Technologist(s)  to join our nuclear medicine /PET team at Box Hill and surrounding areas.

I-MED Box Hill has a newly renovated nuclear medicine department with state of the art equipment including a Siemens Pro.specta SPECT/CT in addition to an expanded PET department with a Siemens Biograph Vision 600. We are currently looking for additional staff members due to the expanded services and growth in demand.

Reporting to the nuclear medicine department chief, you will be responsible for performing all aspects of nuclear medicineincluding radiopharmaceutical preparation and quality control procedures to the highest standard and working as part of a dynamic team. This role also requires the flexibility to work across extended hours to meet PET demand, some weekend work and on call.

As a highly skilled nuclear medicine technologist you will manage patients and operate specialised imaging equipment in accordance with professional standards. The ideal candidate will be a motivated and energetic person who is willing to learn in a busy private practice and hospital settings.

This role is perfect for a  new graduate seeking experience to upskill  or an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist  looking to take career development opportunities within the network.

Key accountabilities include: 

Performing all aspects of Nuclear Medicine including radio-pharmaceutical preparation and Quality Control procedures to the highest standard Consistently delivering high levels of patient care and service Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with patients, referrers, staff and managers Promoting and maintaining the highest quality and safety standards 

Key selection criteria:

Demonstrated ability to perform high quality Nuclear Medicine examinations independently Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of health professionals and corporate staff Tertiary qualification in Nuclear Medicine Applicants must be AHPRA Registered Diagnostic CT accreditation preferred but not essential
