We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Supply & Prosthesis Officer to join our Stores and Supply Team at Kareena Private Hospital in this Permanent Full-Time opportunity.
About the Role
In this position you will be managing the hospital’s Prosthesis stock using the computerized SAP Inventory Management Systems.
You will work closely with the various teams in the hospital to ensure they have access to required prosthesis supply and will strive to provide a high level of customer service and efficiency to ensure the smooth flow of distribution as required.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, some of your duties include;
- Daily activity collecting, collating and processing theatre charge sheets for patient billing in Meditech. Reconcile billing of theatre prosthetics and rebateable items
- Ensuring accurate recording and data entry of patient perioperative data and prosthesis numbers
- Liaising and working collaboratively with the Patient Accounts, Theatre & Supply teams to resolve billing queries in a timely manner
- Ensuring any errors in reported usage are resolved and appropriate action taken regarding patient billing
- Assist with collecting any other supporting documentation to shorten patient accounts billing cycle
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring proven experience working in large scale inventory networks with hospital/medical experience being highly desired. You will be a strong communicator who is highly organised and holds a keen strong attention to detail.
You will also bring;
- Experience with SAP/ or equivalent is desirable
- Computer literacy across the Microsoft office suite.
- Knowledge and understanding of Medical Prosthesis & Private Health Funds, or a hospital’s billing cycle
- Keen attention to detail
- A process improvement mindset

About Our Hospital
Kareena Private Hospital is a dynamic acute care 142 bed facility. Kareena caters for a full range of specialties including cardiology, orthopaedics, general surgery, colorectal surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, general medicine, geriatric medicine, rehabilitation, gastroenterology, plastic surgery, ear, nose and throat surgery, urology, ophthalmology, paediatrics, respiratory medicine and vascular surgery.
Requirements
- Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
- According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases, which may include Covid-19.
