We're seeking individuals who are:
  • Boilermaker/Metal sheet fabricator with 3+ years of relevant experience post trade.
  • Holders of Recognized Trade Certificates-Cert 3 Australian qualification or working towards.
  • Experienced with OEMs like Hitachi, Komatsu, Liebherr & CAT, Cummins, Detroit Diesel
  • Experience repairing tanks (Arc Welding)
  • Leak testing experience
  • Australian Trade certificate is needed for Mobile plant
  • Australian C class driver’s license
  • Working at Heights Ticket
  • Confined Spaces Ticket
  • Physically fit

Job description:
  • Maintenance and repair of relevant equipment
  • Read drawings, work orders and production schedules to determine product or job instruction and specifications.
  • Operate Manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal using gas shielded metal arc.
  • Examine work for defects, and measure with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.
  • Set up and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment, grinders and carbon rod gauging
  • Detect faulty operation of equipment and/or defective materials or products and notify supervisors.
  • Ensuring that appropriate maintenance methods and standards are applied while carrying out maintenance functions.
  • Ensuring that a high standard of housekeeping is maintained at all times.
  • Liaising with a Supervisor regarding machine breakdowns, day-to-day maintenance of machinery and machine safety and guarding.
  • Ensuring that all work to be carried out has been approved through a purchase order.
  • Correctly completing daily and weekly timesheets clearly indicating job numbers and purchase order numbers.
