Client:  

Innovative engineering, production, and project delivery company, they provide a complete range of services from site evaluation, engineering design, development, implementation, project management, and build into the mining, agriculture, BULK handling, commercial storage, and Manufacturing sectors.

They have multiple sites nationwide and are looking to expand their Engineering Team with an existing Commercially focused Engineering Manager, or a Senior PM looking to take the next step in their career 

Within this position, you will be responsible for managing projects from $2 to $15 million in value, you will be the bridge between the Design & Drawing office team, Project Managers, and the Manufacturing team. 

The Job:

  • With only 2 to 3 direct reports this is a lead role responsible for stakeholder engagement, coordinating national engineering assignments, driving continuous improvement, and change management requests. 
  • You will identify opportunities and determine new and more effective ways to make the engineering design and R&D activities more efficient.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for new and existing clients and projects, overseeing PLM management to drive cost-effective / cost-reduction aspects for future projects. 
  • Planning, scheduling, scope clarification, and all aspects of functional design.
  • Effective Project Management to ensure on-time delivery of projects utilising MS Project and in-house ERP / MRP systems

Attributes & Skills:

  • Engineering Degree and Formal Continuous Improvement / Change Management education are highly desirable.
  • An excellent understanding of steel fabrication, mechanical and structural engineering design, and tenders.
  • A least 10 years of experience coordinating engineering assignments, managing dealing with internal and external stakeholders, bid management or contract negotiating, evaluating engineering designs (civil, structural, mechanical), manufacturing to final installation and build.
