Who we’re looking for:

As part of the finance team, the Senior Financial Accountant, will work closely with the Group Finance Manager in the provision of accounting and taxation for the business. The incumbent will be involved in all month end and year end accounting processes, maintenance of the general ledger and maintenance of financial systems/processes, and will be responsible in the preparation of data for the FBT and income tax returns.  Dedicated to meeting deadlines, you will apply your skills to support the team to:

  •  Support Group Finance Manager in preparation of annual accounts.
  •  Undertake reconciliations of the general ledger.
  •  Maintenance of the general ledger and trial balance.
  • Preparation of month-end processes including fixed assets and intercompany eliminations.
  •  Preparation of statutory accounts and other papers for monthly board meetings.
  • Assist with cash flow preparation.
  •  Assist in the preparation of the annual FBT and income tax returns.
  •  Preparation and lodgement of the GST returns.
  •  Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts and other papers for monthly board meetings.
  •  Mentoring of team members.
  •  Support with other accounting and finance related tasks as required.

The successful candidate will be a self-starter with:

  • Degree in Commerce or Business with major in Accounting.
  • CA/CPA qualified is essential 
  • Minimum 3 years post-graduate experience
  • Previous general ledger and tax experience
  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships across different functions in the business
  • Attention to detail
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Has a commitment to a high work standard and work ethic.
  • Confidence in communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships across different functions in the business
