The Role:
Take the lead and become a Director in an exceptional service, where passion and dedication are devoted to children, fostering growth, and rewarding hard work. The service and approved provider have a heavy focus on playwork, bush programs and loose parts place.
Work with others in a playwork environment, where you can lead a team who are dedicated to help children and young people develop their physical, social and language skills through play (we love this)

About the Role:
- Lead and oversee a OSHC (Outside School Hours Care) service.
- Get paid $80K - $85K + super and be rewarded with bonuses
- Promotes flexibility – available and open for 4 or 5 working days a week + Block shifts
- Great community connections – already connected to an early childhood service Director, who is available to mentor and assist the incoming OSHC Director as needed, but not hands on (only if / when you want the guidance).
- Develop and implement educational programs that align with the National Quality Framework (NQF).
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment for children, encouraging their growth and development.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Supervise and support staff, providing guidance and professional development opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with parents, caregivers, and the community.
- Manage administrative tasks, including CCMS, rostering, and resource allocation.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and reflective practice.
About the Service:
- Approved for approx 150 children, and averaging 60-80 per day – occupancy room for growth, which can be tied in with more bonuses / additional flexibility.
- Exceeding service.
- Small, family run service provider who operate a OSHC (this service) and a separate ECE service.
- Service is on a school site, with a great community and supportive school.
- Embraces a bush program, emphasizing nature-based learning and outdoor play.
- Utilizes loose parts and playwork to encourage creativity, exploration, and problem-solving.
- Offers a fresh and innovative approach that aligns with their smoothly operating ECE service.
- Prioritizes fostering growth, acknowledging hard work, and rewarding dedication.
- Strong community focus, as a small operator – they genuinely are connected with this community.
- Dedicated to creating a nurturing and inclusive environment for all children.
About You:
- No COVID-19 vaccination requirement.
- Qualifications are not the primary focus; we are looking for the right person with passion and dedication.
- Pay will be dependent on experience and qualifications and can be increased with growth targets in mind, like occupancy – however happy to create these goals with the successful candidate.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Genuine love for working with children and fostering their development.
- Ability to work collaboratively and a change mindset – things always shift in OSHC, families, children, etc – to be able to always be continuously improving is a key focus.
- Commitment to creating a positive and supportive environment for both staff and children.
Child Safeguarding:
Looking for an individual that will understand, adhere to, and promote The National Principles for Child Safe Organisations (the Child Safe Standards). In your position, you will help to take action to promote child wellbeing and prevent harm to children and young people.
Child safeguarding methods for this position, include, but are not limited to:
- A NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain.
- Thorough screening.
- Reference checks.
- A national criminal history check.
