We are seeking a dynamic, flexible, and collaborative school leader with an unwavering passion for and commitment to our school’s guiding pedagogical principles, values, and Yindyamarra Framework. The successful applicant will be a proven transformational leader, with skills and attributes to work closely with the Principal and Deputy Principal to establish Shirley Smith High School as a school of choice. The successful applicant will be a highly motivated leader who is ready to develop an aspirational learning culture for staff and students through their dynamic presence and ability to authentically connect with staff, students, and families.

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

Developing and delivering future-focussed and student-centred Creative and Performing Arts courses, aligned to the requirements of the Australian Curriculum and the Inclusive Education Strategy. Strategically organising, leading, and managing a diverse range of school events, including assemblies, performances, parent-teacher evenings, and information evenings in order to support community engagement and enhance educational and social outcomes for students. Implementing and leading an effective results-orientated professional learning community using student learning evidence to inform teaching and learning. Building teacher and support staff capacity through effective coaching and mentoring and instructional leadership. Engaging proactively as a member of the school community, fostering and maintaining effective partnerships with relevant stakeholders including parents for optimal educational and social outcomes. Leading restoratively utilising our Yindyamarra Framework to promote a positive culture that prioritises learning, effective relationships, and wellbeing for all. Being an effective and collaborative member of the Shirley Smith High School leadership team, taking responsibility for the ongoing growth of yourself, your colleagues, and our school community. Undertaking an appropriate teaching load and other duties as determined by the Principal.
