Sheetmetal worker

This company is a major player in Australia's emergency services industry. Some of their specialties include the fabrication of fire trucks for the CFA and the RFS, as well as various rescue vehicles for the SES. This Company also work on the fabrication and assembly of various pumps, aviation products, and stormwater products.

Between $41.25 and $52.50 per hour on offer, your pay rate is experience and skills based, lots of room for pay increases and career progression 

About the role: 
- Various Sheetmetal operating tasks, including cutting, slicing, folding, and joining sheet metal. 
- Operation of various machines such as Brake press, pan brake, turret punch, manual bender, Roll-forming, Shearline and Guillotine machines. 
- Reading off drawings and plans and working accordingly. 
- Creating various Sheetmetal products to fit onto fire trucks, such as tanks, panels and fenders etc. 
- Very precise measurements, cuts, and folds required as products are fabricated to a very high standard and close tolerance. 

About you:
- Solid understanding of technical drawings and plans. 
- Sound knowledge of the various types of Sheetmetal machinery as listed above and how to operate Sheetmetal folding and cutting machinery. 
- MUST have at least 5 years of Sheetmetal operation experience. 
- Knowledge of hand and power tool usage. 
- Be punctual and reliable. 
- Must be a team player.
