About the Role

The Research Nurse will work as a Clinical Trials Coordinator under the direction of the Clinical Trials Manager and in collaboration with a dynamic multidisciplinary team. The Clinical Trials Coordinator will be responsible for coordination of a portfolio of clinical trials conducted by the Orthopaedic Department.

  • Direct and indirect clinical trial related care of patients
  • Data collection for concurrent clinical trial research studies undertaken in the department.
  • Trial coordination activities including participant recruitment, ethics application processes, regulatory and ongoing ethics compliance and adverse event reporting,
  • Provision of education to team members/patients and families related to a specific research method, protocol, or program.

The classification for this position will be YU13 ($102,278 per annum)

Your Contribution

  • Undergraduate degree in general nursing, which meets the registration requirements of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
  • Current practicing certificate and registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
  • Advanced clinical nursing skills
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, particularly to respond professionally and appropriately as a representative of St. Vincent’s
  • Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
  • Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks and manage timelines
  • Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain
