Quick overview of the role 
We are currently seeking an experienced Store Person/Driver to join our friendly team at our Hervey Bay service centre.  This role will be responsible for ensuring that delivery of finished goods and materials are delivered safely, in full, on time and cost effectively.  In addition, the role is responsible for preparing, packing, loading/unloading items, ensuring loads are safe and secure at all times prior to departure and compliant with transport legislation and guidelines.  As a Neumann Steel and NuPod representative when on site, strong customer service and resolving customer queries is also integral to the quality of service that is applies to all deliveries.  There are two positions available - casual and fulltime, based in Hervey Bay.

What will you be doing?

  • Driving and working in a safe manner at all times
  • Loading and unloading of goods and materials 
  • Safe unloading of goods and materials 
  • Checking and receipting goods in a timely and efficient manner
  • Picking and packing of sales orders and stock transfer requests
  • Processing and administration of stock returns
  • Undertaking regular stock takes and stock adjustments
  • Conducting pre-start checks and inspections on the vehicle and all equipment before use
  • Reporting any faults immediately and in accordance with approved procedures
  • Completing daily load check sheets before leaving the warehouse
  • Completing daily run sheets either as hard copies or using the electronic system
  • Ensuring all required documentation is correctly compiled 
  • Thorough knowledge of the regulation and requirements of NSW and QLD Road Rules 
  • Assisting customer requests in placement of load at job sites
