We have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our wonderful team on a permanent part time basis, based in our brand-new cancer care and health centre, located in Campbelltown. Our purpose-built centre offers access to radiation therapy, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, haematology, clinical trials, and allied health care services.

The building is designed with the aim of being one of the first 6-star health centres in Australia and includes a wellness pavilion on the top floor.

The role will be a part of a close-knit team of nurses who deliver best practice services in medical oncology and haematology nursing. Along with the multidisciplinary team, you will be part of giving our patients an exceptional treatment experience. 

More specifically you will:

Provide comprehensive care to the patients at GenesisCare following the principles of evidenced based best practice Bring a positive, enthusiastic and ‘can-do’ attitude to work Give support and direction to less senior registered nursing colleagues and student nurses where applicable Assesses and plans nursing care for the patient using GenesisCare templates Provides comprehensive patient education as per GenesisCare policy and procedure Administration of medications as per GenesisCare policy and procedure Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological and spiritual support to patients, family and friends

We're interested in hearing from people who have:  

Current and unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to demonstrate empathy for patients and their carers Demonstrated clinical and problem-solving skills Ability to plan and coordinate the clinical management of care Commitment to and involvement in the application of quality improvement and evidence-based practice principles Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a team member Experience in the field of Oncology preferred, working with a variety of patients
