About the role

We are delighted to announce that we are searching for Orica’s next Production Analyst/Engineer at our Helidon Manufacturing site.

Reporting to the Production Manager - Helidon, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the effectiveness of the Helidon manufacturing operations in both Assembly and Extrusion.

The role will ensure high safety, health, and environment standards are met while producing good quality product at competitive unit costs which meet our customer needs.

What you will be doing

  • Strategic auditing and analytical reviews to ensure effective production outputs;
  • Conduct process optimisation assessments, resolve system problems and reviews existing production procedures in order to maximise efficiency and reduce unnecessary costs;
  • Interface with Marketing and Commercial stakeholders to implement end-to-end transformational projects to better serve our customers;
  • Set high standards in all aspects of safety, health, and environment and manage adherence to all model procedure requirements and standards;
  • Ensures the execution of daily, weekly and monthly production plans, including inputs to Sales and operations planning (S&OP) process;
  • Analyse manufacturing data and ensure meeting quality standards;
  • Conducts strategic analysis of production costs and unit costs capture opportunities.

What you will bring

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering or role related Degree;
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment;
  • Having strategic capability in delivering business strategy to gain competitive advantage for the site;
  • Understanding and experience with manufacturing costing practices such as cost allocation methods and cost sensitivity analysis;
  • Proven ability to lead, demonstrating collaborative, inclusive and strategic leadership ability. Ability to work across different groups to harness ideas and generate solutions or new approaches to complex problems.
