About the opportunity:
Reporting to the National Health and Safety Manager, this is an important role in which you will oversee the development, implementation and continuous improvement of Safety Health and Environmental Management Systems across Holcim Australia and New Zealand.
Detailed responsibilities for the role are found in the Position Description which is available upon request and will include:
Overseeing communication of Safety, Health and Environmental information to promote positive business improvement and culture. Identifying and evaluating compliance process resource materials and contributing to the development of training materials to facilitate a national understanding of the SHE management system. Identifying, evaluating and recommending opportunities to improve and optimise the SHE Management System and other SHE System enablers (e.g. ICare, RapidInduct, INX). Providing Holcim Australia and New Zealand level Safety and Health performance reporting to the Executive Committee and Board. Leading the Safety function in system development, implementation support, review and improvement to support the Holcim Australia and New Zealand Health and Safety Strategy. Identifying and prioritising opportunities to continuously improve the SHE compliance management system. Overseeing quality and outcomes of the SHE compliance system improvements and initiatives. Designing and developing the SHE system to ensure the information and processes developed are communicated in a clear and concise way. Overseeing the review of legislation changes with regard to the SHE management system and implementing changes to continue compliance with legislation.About you:
To be successful in this role you will need:
A Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environment or a related discipline. Credible experience in a safety and environment management system leadership role ideally within a high-risk environment. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft suite/Google docs . Knowledge/ experience of INX, SAI360, SAP (preferred) Current knowledge of OH&S legislation and practices. Demonstrated ability to drive and promote a zero-harm culture. Strong written and oral skills. Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment. Ability to take on new concepts and lead change nationally. Strong interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, and with all functions.This is an outstanding opportunity to grow your career within our world leading business.
