Role Overview

Our network of regional workshops support our clients to maximise the efficiency, productivity and safety of their operations.

The success of our operations is founded on a team based approach to projects and you will have the opportunity to work together with, and support a range of qualified tradespeople to be successful on all projects.

Responsibilities

As a Sandblaster you will perform:

Routine and preventive maintenance sandblasting duties on mechanical equipment including machinery, structural steel and platework such as chutes and tanks You will be familiar with all types of abrasive media and the application of masking and other methods to protect specified areas from unwanted abrasive action and the ingress of sand Specialised sandblasting projects including large structures in severe corrosive environments Inspections, clean ups, storage and disposal of sandblasting products

You will also drive the maintenance of a safe and healthy workplace and ensure that all work is in accordance with industry best practice.

Skills and Experience

Extensive experience working as a Sandblaster Previous experience in an engineering or mining environment is highly advantageous Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team Able to pass Medical and Drug & Alcohol tests Practical communication and team building abilities Ability to work in remote locations Current WA drivers’ license. A HR License would be advantageous, although not essential
