The Opportunity

We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Financial Accountant to join our Finance team on a Full-Time basis for 12 months. Job location is flexible.

Reporting to the Corporate Accounting Team Leader, you will be undertaking various financial and management accounting activities focused on high quality financial insight and support to APA and its Clients throughout the monthly and year end reporting cycles and to ensure the integrity of the finance systems and processes are maintained while striving for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare end to end monthly accounting processes for our joint venture entities accounted for in house according to timetable

  • Raise invoices and purchase orders for joint venture inventors, manage invoice payments with accounts payable

  • Prepare monthly reconciliations, reporting and analysis, prepare and provide monthly payment list to the joint venture investors

  • Provide accounting and financial support to stakeholders for effective planning and operations, maintaining accurate records for assigned portfolios

  • Liaise across functions and with joint venture inventors to contribute to financial reports, monthly ledgers, and investigate discrepancies

  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to manage issues and enhance process efficiency

  • Collaborate with IBPR and other stakeholders to support APA’s financial reporting and planning

Your background

  • Tertiary Qualification in accounting or similar area

  • CPA or CA certification is required

  • Demonstrated financial & management accounting, internal cost allocation processes and system knowledge and experience

  • Knowledge and experience of the management or implementation of financial processes and systems (Workday experience is beneficial)

  • Sound communication skills to liaise effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
