Automotive Instincts is looking for a full-time qualified Motor Mechanic with at least 3 years prior experience.

You will be required to undertake the following duties:
  • Diagnose and repair vehicle issues, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems. (various makes and models). 
  • Ability to figure out the fault, repair and provide the best possible solution
  • Mechanical repairs including periodic servicing, brakes repair, clutches and timing belts repair/replacement on different makes and models.
  • Inspect and run diagnostic tests to discover functional issues. 
  • Dismantle and replace or repair the defective part or equipment. 
  • Change engine and transmission oils. 
  • Conduct quality checks before returning vehicles. 
  • Communicate effectively with customers to explain repairs and provide recommendations.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Stay updated with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques.
  • Adhere and follow work safety guidelines, report any hazards, general housekeeping and workshop maintenance.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Certificate III or IV
  • Proven experience as a mechanic.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of vehicles.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Minimum 3 years prior experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to work independently and unsupervised.
  • High attention to detail.
