Automotive Instincts is looking for a full-time qualified Motor Mechanic with at least 3 years prior experience. You will be required to undertake the following duties:
- Diagnose and repair vehicle issues, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems. (various makes and models).
- Ability to figure out the fault, repair and provide the best possible solution
- Mechanical repairs including periodic servicing, brakes repair, clutches and timing belts repair/replacement on different makes and models.
- Inspect and run diagnostic tests to discover functional issues.
- Dismantle and replace or repair the defective part or equipment.
- Change engine and transmission oils.
- Conduct quality checks before returning vehicles.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain repairs and provide recommendations.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Stay updated with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques.
- Adhere and follow work safety guidelines, report any hazards, general housekeeping and workshop maintenance.
- Certificate III or IV
- Proven experience as a mechanic.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of vehicles.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Minimum 3 years prior experience in a similar role.
- Ability to work independently and unsupervised.
- High attention to detail.
