Job Description

As an Instrument technician, you will be responsible but not limited to:

  • Carry out the preventative maintenance and minor repairs on equipment and instruments on site
  • Develop and maintain procedures and schedules for maintenance.
  • Liaise with the calibration officer where necessary to determine equipment efficiency.
  • Liaise with supervisors regarding the requirements for maintenance.
  • Be familiar and comply with the contents of the Corporate Policies Manual, Quality Systems Manuals/Procedures and any other associated documents.
  • Be aware of health and safety risks associated with the laboratory operations. Ensure that safety equipment is used where necessary, and used correctly at all times.
  • Perform other duties as directed by Management

Qualifications

Successful candidate should have the following:

  • Formal qualification in Training / Assessment 
  • Capability to be authorised by the CATS Technical Manager
  • Excellent communication and administration skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to occupational health and safety.
  • Tertiary qualification in relevant Engineering or Electrical/Electronics discipline
