About the Role

You will contribute to the success of our manufacturing departments and our ability to meet the expectations of both internal and external customers. Working with the Maintenance team, this role is key in the delivery, continuous improvement and monitoring of production assets to ensure optimal plant performance and strategic maintenance activities are achieved. It requires a solutions-based approach to work, ensuring planned repairs and unplanned breakdowns are managed efficiently and effectively while maintaining best practice standards.

Responsibilities include:

  • The delivery of safe, reliable, efficient, strategic and routine preventative maintenance activities;

  • Carrying out repairs and maintenance of plant and equipment to ensure production schedules and goals are achieved;

  • Responding to break down situations to repair to all plant equipment as requested by Production Team Leader or relevant Manager/Supervisor

  • Prioritising work requests entered in the CMMS system;

  • Recording use and stock of critical machine and process parts;

  • Maintaining all registers, logs and systems to track repairs, notifications and work activities;

  • Liaise with supervisors and machine operators about performance of equipment;

  • Develop & maintain a close and collaborative working relationships across the Production, Planning & Fabrication teams;

  • Working to pre-determined and measurable KPIs.

About You

  • Trade certification in mechanical fitting / Fitting & turning or similar

  • Qualifications or equivalent experience in hydraulic & pneumatics

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in maintenance and/or similar industry

  • Advanced knowledge of extrusion, water process plant and associated equipment

  • Forklift license (essential), FLT/EWP license and NREL connection licenses (desirable)

  • Proven experience in MIG welding (essential), TIG and ARC welding (desirable)

  • Demonstrated experience in CMMS (preferably MEX)

  • Exposure to and familiarity with injection moulding machines (desirable)

  • Ability to diagnose equipment issues safely and promptly
