Located on the waterfront of Hervey Bay, just a short 2-hour drive from the Sunshine Coast, you will discover two exceptional properties Mantra Hervey Bay and BreakFree Great Sandy Straits . Situated in the heart of one of Australia's premier whale watching destinations, both properties offer a perfect vantage point to witness these majestic creatures.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager , based at Mantra Hervey Bay to oversee the combined operations of both Mantra Hervey Bay and Breakfree Great Sandy Straits.

This is a unique opportunity for an individual with previous General Manager Experience, or current senior head of department of a large operation to autonomously lead and drive success across the two properties.

Your responsibilities will include:

Manage all facets of the properties including revenue management, recruiting & training, customer service and achievement of financial targets Be responsible for leading and developing your team to ensure the hotels profitability and success Be instrumental in driving changes and improvements in performance and implementing strategies in line with business objectives Create and build strong relationships with key stakeholders, property owners, guests and regional shared services. Maintain excellent product and service standards whilst maximising revenue and balancing expenses Focus on recruiting and developing a team that is engaged in driving a positive customer sentiment

What we are looking for:

Experience as a General Manager in a smaller operation or Senior Head of Department in a larger team operation within the hotel industry You will lead by example creating an environment where your team are encouraged and motivated to be their true self each day. Confidence in your capability to build strong relationships, effectively resolve difficult situations and implement solutions that improve the service levels and financial results of the business Past experience working with body corporates in an MLR setting is desirable Comprehension of the key metrics that impact and grow hospitality businesses, using this knowledge to drive top line revenue and motivating your team to do the same Hold Full QLD Real-estate agent (REA) licence (desirable but not essentail)
