About the role:
A highly rewarding opportunity to join Box Hill Institute as the Learning Specialist - Pedagogy located at the Yarra Ranges Tech School, Lilydale. This role is full time, ongoing.
As the Learning Specialist - Pedagogy, you will be at the forefront of educational transformation, driving the development of innovative teaching practices and curriculum design. You will lead a dedicated team of educators and collaborate closely with industry partners to create a truly immersive and impactful learning experience for our students.
Within this role you will provide visionary leadership in the development and implementation of pedagogical strategies that align with our mission and values. You will lead the integration of new technologies and design thinking methodologies into teaching practices and ensure the alignment of the Tech school’s programs to the Victorian Curriculum and VCE.

About You:
- Current VIT Registration
- Substantial teaching experience in at least one of the following areas: Art, Music, Science, Design and Technology, Health
- Demonstrated experience in successfully implementing new technologies into educational practices
- Strong understanding of design thinking principles and their application in curriculum development
- Proven ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering professional growth and collaboration
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- A track record of driving positive change and innovation in educational settings
- Role models integrity, coaches others through challenges to recover rapidly from setbacks
- Consistently achieves long term team & organisational goals & demonstrates accountability
- Makes high-quality decisions for complex situations, champions customer centricity & breakthrough strategies

This role is critical to the success of the Victorian Government’s Tech School Initiative and achievement of optimum educational and commercial outcomes for BHI Group, in collaboration with all key business arms of the Lakeside campus. This includes TAFE and higher education courses, an integrated early learning and development centre, Edutainment Centre, a state-of-the-art Discovery Centre and Biosecurity Centre of Excellence, Horticulture site, Community Living Library, Business Incubator, a commercial restaurant and café, Melba Support Services and accommodation.
