Quick overview of the role 
We are seeking an Operator/Packer to join our NIM (Neumann Injection Moulding) team based in Currumbin. This is a casual position, reporting to the Plastics Production Manager. The purpose of this role is to assist production by undertaking packing activities in the Injection Moulding department, safely and efficiently.

What will you be doing?

  • Quickly and accurately stack and assemble plastic spacers into appropriate bags in accordance with the quantities assigned.
  • Assist in performing quality checks, consistently monitoring parts for any defects and notifying the Leading Hand/Manager.
  • Alert the Leading Hand/Manager of any machine abnormalities during operation.
  • Assemble bags onto pallets in a correct and safe manner.
  • Move finished pallets onto the pallet wrapping station.
  • Print bag tags as required.
  • Maintain a tidy and clean work area and assist in cleaning machines.
  • Undertake training & competencies, once completed undertake Start-up & Shutdown tasks as directed by the Team Leader.


What are we looking for in the successful candidate?

  • Previous experience in a similar role or warehouse-based environment
  • Physically fit and able to operate machinery
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Current driver’s license
