THE VENUE
Part of the Australian Turf Club portfolio, Rosehill Bowling Club is a recently refurbished facility offering a laid-back atmosphere with modern amenities. Located close to Parramatta CBD in Sydney’s West and offering exceptional facilities including a bistro, bars, bowling greens, beer garden and gaming facilities. Our menu is built around good quality bistro and function food at reasonable prices.

THE OPPORTUNITY
Key objectives of the role include:
- Prepare, cook and present food for bistro service and functions
- Ability to work autonomously and without supervision during service periods
- Supervise the casual kitchen brigade where appropriate ensuring quality control at all times
- Assume the position of team leader in the absence of the Head Chef
- Monitor and take corrective action to reduce waste and misuse of food products and kitchen chemicals
- Make recommendations for improvements to presentation and quality of food
- Contribute Ideas and innovative food ideas for the creation of modern customer focused menus
- Ensure high standards in hygiene are maintained in cleaning for food preparation and service areas
- Promote and champion safety and wellbeing within the business.
HOURS
- The role consists of a rotating roster of 5 days out of 7, including split shifts.
THE RIGHT FIT
To be successful in the role, the right fit will possess:
- Trade qualifications are advantageous or previous experience in a similar role
- Knowledge and understanding of OH&S and HACCP policies with the ability to implement safe work practices
- The ability to work in a team and autonomously on quieter days
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated person with a ‘can do’ attitude
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to prioritise tasks, develop plans and meet deadlines
- Proactive with attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills and a sense of timing are required
