Wood Minerals & Metals team is currently delivering critical metals projects, including Copper, Nickel, Lithium, Vanadium, Rare Earths, and Base Metals. This portfolio of projects ranging from studies through to EPCM packages working on developments in Australia and internationally – Australia through to Europe, Middle east Africa and Asia.

Wood is recruiting for a Principal Electrical to join our Brisbane team in our Minerals & Metals division. This is a FT position to join our varied work scopes across studies and sustaining capital work packages.

This opportunity is looking for experience Senior Engineers who bring breadth of experience from concept through to execution, within a EPCM environment and have worked across a wide range of base metal commodities. 

In addition we are looking for; 

  • Tertiary qualification from a recognised institute, ideally with post-graduate studies
  • Chartered Engineer or recognised equivalent
  • Must have experience working with high value engineering centres and in an engineering consultant environment
  • Excellent communication skills when working with cross functional teams within the project and client office to provide guidance and input with regards to instrument specifications and modifications
  • Knowledge of applicable codes and standards (AS, IEC, ASME, ASTM, ANSI, API, etc)
  • Ability to lead and develop your team in their career goals and operational requirements
  • A proven track record for delivering projects within scope, budget and schedule
  • High voltage Power design experience
