About the Role
As a House Supervisor at Howitt Street, you will lead a dedicated team in supporting individuals within a residential setting. Your role will be vital in ensuring that residents receive high-quality care tailored to their needs, fostering an environment where they can flourish. Daily responsibilities will include managing staff rosters, overseeing team performance, and advocating for the rights and preferences of the people we support. This fixed-term position offers an opportunity to impact the lives of those we serve positively.
Requirements
What You’ll Do
- Supervise the operations at the Howitt Street residential home, ensuring seamless delivery of support services.
- Manage all aspects of team performance, including recruitment, training, and compliance with quality standards.
- Develop and implement individualized support plans that promote independence and well-being.
- Lead and mentor staff, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture.
- Maintain effective communication with families and external stakeholders to coordinate support services.
- Oversee medication administration and adherence to health protocols.
You’ll Have
- Hold or be working towards an Advanced Diploma of Community Sector Management or equivalent qualification.
- Experience in the disability sector with a solid understanding of person-centered support and positive behavior support.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of NDIS processes and a commitment to advocating for individuals' rights.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check, and a valid Australian Driver’s License.
- Evidence of COVID-19 vaccination (3 doses).
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
