St Patrick’s Primary Guildford is currently seeking a passionate Diversity teacher to join our school community on a temporary full-time basis.

  • Primary K-6 Diversity Teacher

  • Start date: Monday, 22 July, Term 3, 2024

  • Temporary full-time (until the end of 2024)

The opportunity:

The successful person will work with our dynamic teaching team and have a clear and shared focus on enhancing the learning of all students. 

  • Promote meaningful and age appropriate learning for all students

  • Work collaboratively to plan and implement school programs with a diversity perspective

  • Assist the classroom teacher in identifying and prioritising vulnerable students

  • Assist and support Case Management processes and implement strategies that derive from them

  • Perform specific tasks as directed by the principal and their delegate

Qualifications and accreditations

  • Compliance with NSW Child Protection Legislation - Working with Children Check clearance

  • Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)

  • Tertiary Qualification in Education/Teaching

  • Statements of Service

The successful candidate will:

  • Have Knowledge of the content and sequence of Key Learning Areas

  • Be knowledgeable on a variety of online and multimedia programs to support student learning 

  • Have the ability to make content meaningful to students at different levels

  • Have a willingness to learn and a commitment to your own professional development

  • Have well-developed communication, administration and interpersonal skills

  • Have a natural aptitude and drive to work with and within a collaborative team environment

  • Structure lessons to meet the physical, social and intellectual development and characteristics of each student
