Crossmuller is an innovative and progressive multi-disciplined company specialising in manufacturing design, automation and systems integration. Our Engineering division designs and constructs manufacturing facilities, refurbishes existing facilities and designs and constructs automation plant for manufacturing plants and warehouses.

We are currently seeking a qualified Fitter Machinist to join our Manufacturing team located in Somersby, NSW.

Responsibilities include:

Fabrication of machine parts from engineering drawings
Operation of manual lathes, milling machines and drill presses
Light fabrication and welding
Assembly of mechanical components and systems from engineering drawings
Installation of motors and drive equipment
Scheduled and unscheduled breakdown maintenance
Installation of new machinery and decommissioning of old machinery
To be considered for this position you will:

Be a qualified and experienced tradesperson
Have experience in machine trouble shooting, problem solving and fault finding (an advantage)
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
Be able to demonstrate experience in pneumatic and hydraulic equipment (an advantage)
Possess the ability to work unsupervised or as part of a team

This is a full-time permanent position within our Manufacturing team with a strong potential for career growth for the right applicant. To be successful in this role you must be motivated and be willing to put in the effort required to complete jobs in a timely manner. Attention to detail and highest quality workmanship are paramount.

As part of the selection process, applicants must be prepared to undergo a pre-employment medical examination which includes functional, audiometric and drug and alcohol testing.
