About this role
We are currently seeking student nurses to work in a casual capacity in our Orthopaedic Unit. 

You will undertake patient care activities in accordance with Hospital policies and procedures, under the direction and supervision of the Registered General Nurse:

  • Assists the Registered General Nurse with patient admission and discharge planning.
  • Maintains the patient's comfort, dignity and personal privacy.
  • Attends to the patient's activities of daily living and encourages progressive responsibility for self-care where appropriate.
  • Encourages the patient to be actively engaged in their plan of care and the clinical handover process.
  • Observes the patient at all times and monitors their condition. Immediately reports clinical changes or concerns to a registered nurse, and completes documentation as required.
  • Seeks, and participates in, educational land practical learning opportunities.

About You

You must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Nursing program, have completed all first-year subjects, including a medication authorization module/assessment where possible, and possess a satisfactory and current Working with Children Check.

  • Excluding weeks on clinical placement, can you commit to (please highlight): 1-2 shifts per week 3-4 shifts per week 4-5 shifts per week
