We will count on you to:

As a Quantitative Analyst, you will play a key role in contributing to the development of various proprietary tools and models used to evaluate investment strategies, portfolio asset allocations and capital management programs.

The primary focus is to provide development support on all software projects and support development and management of governance frameworks for consulting tools and technology. Core activities include building advanced technical skills, acting as lead analyst on technology / tools projects, and helping to develop the skills of colleagues in relevant platforms.

Support development and delivery of consulting tools; documenting and reviewing requirements and specifications with senior developers / consultants. Contribute to development and ongoing management of relevant governance frameworks to ensure quality and consistency of tools. Support agile methodologies and coordinate progress reporting for consulting tools. Contribute to projects through effective management of tasks, and directly lead some smaller client deliverables. Develop own capability through informal and formal learning opportunities. Participate in internal projects to improve Mercer, in particular talent, quality, service delivery, internal efficiency / effectiveness and intellectual capital. Develop other’s capability through informal and formal learning opportunities.

What you need to have:

Entrepreneurial and passionate towards building data driven solutions Excellent programmers (preferably in Python – experience with VBA and SQL ideal but not essential) Able to learn and translate financial principles into systematic algorithms Willing to take initiative and a collaborative team player Committed to learning code and/or sharpening your existing skills

What makes you stand out:

Interested in investment markets / portfolio management with relevant university qualifications – a background in computer science / programming would be highly desirable Experience with or understanding of Cloud and APIs
