Role Overview

UMENCO is seeking a Design Director for a contemporary brand who create modern, thoughtful classic RTW pieces and lifestyle products.

As Design Director, the successful talent will be the creative force driving the vision and direction of the seasonal collections. The role will involve conceptualising and developing innovative designs that align with the brand’s aesthetic while pushing boundaries to set new trends in the industry. You will oversee the entire design process, from initial concept sketches to final product realisation, ensuring that each style reflects the brands commitment to modern elegance and functionality.

In this leadership role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including merchandising, marketing and production to ensure a cohesive brand vision and seamless execution. You will manage a talented design team, guiding them through the design process and fostering an environment of creativity and collaboration. Additionally, you will stay ahead of industry trends and market demands, incorporating these insights into your brand strategy to keep the brand at the forefront of contemporary fashion.
