Ventia provide network construction, deployment and maintenance team to the Telecommunications sector. Our specialists build and maintain some of the region’s largest fibre optic and mobile networks and are dedicated to delivering superior design, build and maintenance solutions and innovation for critical communications networks.

We’re hiring a full-time permanent Telco Electrician to join our team.

The telecommunications industry is a unique and niche sector and therefore previous experience in Telco is desired but not required. If you have a keen willingness to learn about what we do, we will provide you with a comprehensive training program to set you up for success.  You will be required to travel to from Sydney metro to regional & coastal NSW and as far as the Victorian boarder.

What you’ll do:

  • Providing project supervision and directives on project tasks 
  • Low voltage electrical cabling within or on telco sites
  • Extra low volage electrical cabling within or on telco sites
  • DC power plant installation & commissioning
  • Critical Superstructure frame suite installations 
  • Battery life cycle replacement on critical infrastructure
  • Cable tray installations
  • Electrical apparatus installations
  • AC, DC & alarm cable installations
  • Testing and commissioning to Australian standards
  • Implementing daily safety documentation and assessing all risks
  • Providing appropriate supervision for apprentices and technicians

Are you our next Telco Electrician? You’ll need:

  • NSW Electrical License
  • NSW Drivers License
  • Open Cablers license
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Competent in Microsoft office suites  
  • Have the ability to lift heavy objects up to 25kg

The following qualifications and experience are not essential but will be highly regarded in the selection process:

  • Solar project experience
  • Telco network procedures
  • AI Remote installation & commissioning
  • Telecommunication alarm or data configurations
  • Generator installation & commissioning     
  • Emergency First Aid / CPR
  • Low voltage Release and Rescue
  • Working at heights
  • Elevated work platform license
  • Forklift license
  • Grid-connect or SAP Solar accreditation
  • Data Centre experience
