Join a dynamic state government agency based in Adelaide CBD as a Site Supervisor for a significant environmental project. Immediate start available for a temporary contract, with potential for part-time hours.

About the Role: As a Site Supervisor, you will oversee contractors and assessment teams for a River Murray Flood Clean-up Program, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and project timelines. This position requires a background in construction or engineering, ideally suited for someone with experience in managing projects of a similar nature.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and supervise contractors and assessment teams on-site for demolitions and hazard reduction work.
  • Supervise contractors in asbestos removal.
  • Liaise with property owners to ensure effective project coordination.
  • Support the coordination of field operations involving multiple stakeholders including our agency, contractors, property owners, and government entities.
  • Validate operational information provided by contractors.
  • Conduct pre-start meetings and ensure compliance with safety standards and project timelines.
  • Collaborate closely with Health, Safety, and Environment Officers.
  • Report on the progress and completion of project works.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Driver's license and construction induction card.
  • Building work supervisor's registration.
  • First aid certificate.
  • Police check clearance.

Additional Details:

  • Temporary contract with an immediate start.
  • Part-time availability considered.
  • Overnight stays required in regional towns within specified regions.
