Docklands, Australia Melbourne Water Full time

Who we are

In Melbourne, water is essential to our way of life.

Each time you drink from the tap, flush a toilet, run through a backyard sprinkler, or kayak down the Yarra—we’re there. Primed and ready, quietly delivering some of the world’s cleanest water for over five million residents and wildlife that call Melbourne home —just as we have for almost 130 years.

If you value making it count, diving in with curiosity, and doing what’s right, you're in the right place.

About the Role

Reporting to the Manager Community Capacity Building, this is a pivotal role within the Aboriginal Engagement & Community Connection team.

Clearwater is a leading capacity building program, recognised for its role in providing customer driven programs that equip the water industry with the skills, knowledge and networks to drive the implementation of Integrated Water Management (IWM) practices. For more information go to: www.clearwatervic.com.au.

As a Program Lead Clearwater, you will develop and implement customer-focused initiatives that deliver on Clearwater’s strategic business priorities and targets.

This will be achieved through:

  • Leading the delivery of Clearwater’s Integrated Water Management capacity building program for the Melbourne region.
  • Project management of the implementation of new capacity building initiatives that are responsive to IWM trends, industry needs and other opportunities.
  • Directing and supporting the delivery of established training and initiatives, leading program promotion, marketing and communications activity.
  • Seeking out innovation and the use of technology to continually improve business processes and learning design, delivery and outcomes.
  • Promoting and building Clearwater’s profile within the IWM industry, developing and strengthening key relationships, networks and collaborative partnerships.

About you

  • Technical knowledge and/or experience related to integrated water management.
  • An understanding of best practice capacity building, adult learning and stakeholder engagement approaches.
  • Experience in developing and delivering effective learner-centric training and events.
  • Experience in research dissemination, data collection, analysis and interpretation.
  • Excellent project management skills with strong attention to detail and an ability to accurately report numeric outcomes and manage budgets.
  • Ability to lead, manage and motivate a team of professionals to deliver program outcomes that operationalize strategic priorities.

Your excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as your ability to develop beneficial stakeholder relationships and collaborative partnerships will be keys to this role.

For more information, please see the attached Position Description.
