    About the role

    Sunnybank Private Hospital are currently seeking an experienced CSSD Technician and an experienced Endoscope Cleaning Gallay Technician to join our dynamic perioperative team on either a full time or part time basis.

     

    Key responsibilities will include:

     

    ·         Decontamination / Thermal disinfection, inspection, packaging and sterilisation of all instrumentation for theatre and external clinical areas

    ·         Reprocessing of endoscopes within our endoscopy cleaning gallay as required

    ·         Comply with AS/NZ standards 5369 2024, and GENCA Guidelines

    ·         Operate, interpret and document all machinery operational requirements

    ·         Report and document all quality activities

    ·         Ensure priority of instrumentation and processes

    Essential Criteria:

     

    ·         Certificate III in Sterilising essential

    ·         Prior recent experience working with a Central Sterilising Services Department – preferred

    ·         Sound knowledge of AS/NZ 5369 (2024) (formally, AS/NZ 4187 (2014))

    ·         Sound knowledge of GENCA & GENSA guidelines

    ·         Demonstrated knowledge of surgical / medical instrumentation and equipment

    ·         Experience with tracking systems - desirable

    ·         Endoscopy reprocessing experience or the willingness to learn

    ·         Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills

    ·         Exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail and time management

    ·         A positive attitude and exceptional customer services skills

    ·         Intermediate computer literacy skills - including MS office and various databases

    ·         An interest in promoting best practice patient care

    ·         A focus on professional development
