Your Role

Our beautiful Boutique Heritage Listed Village, located north of the CBD, is looking for a new Chef/Cook to bring some life and creativity into our dining room providing appetising meals to the most important people in our community - our residents.

You will be responsible for the sole operation of our recently refurbished kitchen, complete with new equipment and appliances. This role will appeal to an efficient, organised and experienced Chef/Cook who understands the importance of maintaining food safety, along with cost control to maximise use of produce with minimal waste. You will have demonstrated experience running a kitchen on your own, providing meals for 15 - 35 people.

Your tasks will include: 

Daily preparation and cooking nutritionally balanced mealsLeverage the support of our Client Services Assistant to ensure timely provision of mealsDevelop seasonal menus with variety and creativityCo-ordinate and place food ordersMonitor and comply with Workplace Health and Safety and Environmental practicesComply with food safety program and maintain 5-star ratingMaintain a clean kitchen

Requirements

Provide evidence of and maintain up-to-date vaccinations against Influenza and Covid-19Demonstrated experience in a commercial kitchen serving 15-35 peopleFood Safety Supervisor Certificate (desirable)Current Police Screening Certificate (or the ability to obtain)Current First Aid & CPR Certificates (or the ability to obtain)
