Role Description/Criteria
Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Actively support and promote the values inherent in a Catholic School, by demonstrating an understanding of the ethos of a Catholic school and its mission;
- Demonstrate an understanding and commitment to legal and moral obligations relating to Child Safety Standards as set out in the Ministerial Order;
- Be highly professional in all aspects of the role and display proficiency in areas of organisation, written and interpersonal communication skills, ICT skills and be able to use initiative;
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of team work by proven expereince of working collaboratively with others;
- Demonstrate an ability to work with a variety of learning needs (academic, physical, social and emotional issues);
- Be able to build positive relationships with students;
- Implement learning adjustments and programs for students under the direction and supervision of teaching staff;
- Maintain anecdotal notes and records of student progress as instructed by the Learning Diversity Leader;
- Be able to give, receive and act on feedback;
- Demonstrate a preparedness to work flexibly and where required;
- Be able to use discretion and maintain confidentiality;
- Attend Parent Support Group (PSG) meetings when required.
MUST Have:
- Current Working with Children Check
- Successful completion of National Criminal Police Record Check
- Certificate 3 or higher in Education Support
