THE OPPORTUNITY: 

Reporting to the NPI Supervisor, the primary purpose of the NPI Technician - Dewatering is to execute works associated with the dewatering pumps/bores and within all non-processing infrastructure i.e. camp accommodation, site offices and utilities.

This is a permanent position, with an 8/6 roster based at our Pilgangoora Operation.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Complete of daily mechanical maintenance activities to achieve the maintenance plan as directed by the Site Services Supervisor.
  • Delivering a range of dewatering projects
  • Operating various Poly Welding machines unsupervised and self-managed
  • Installing HDPE pipelines and associated infrastructures
  • Conduct regular inspections of dewatering equipment to ensure proper functioning.
  • Installing bores and associated works.
  • Monitor and adjust water levels in excavation areas to meet operational requirements.
  • Collaborate with site supervisors and engineers to plan and implement dewatering strategies.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on dewatering pumps, hoses, and related equipment.
  • Operate Machinery and Poly Weld when required.
  • Execute maintenance project work associated with all non-processing infrastructure ie: camp accommodation, bore/pumps associated with the bore fields and associated infrastructure.
  • Ensure all work orders are completed properly to a consistent high quality in PRONTO.
  • Ensure work areas under your control undergo daily documented safety inspections and where hazards are identified ensure they are appropriately managed.
  • Ensure risk management practices are effectively and consistently applied for all work activities.      
  • Ensure your own safety and health at work and that of your work mates and in respect to safety always follow instructions given by your employer.
  • Become familiar with and comply to safety policies and procedures.
  • Report all hazards and incidents on occurrence and never walk past an unsafe act or condition.
  • Participate with your work teams to improve and sustain a positive safety culture across the organisation.

 ABOUT YOU:

  • WA C class driver’s license.
  • HDPE Butt Welding & Electrofusion Tickets
  • Knowledge of statutory safety requirements relevant to the processes.
  • Experience using a wide range of welding machines.
  • Systematic planning skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment
  • Familiarity with maintenance management systems.
  • Strong commitment to safety and the environment.
