As a Senior Backend Engineer you’ll be reviewing requirements, specifications and technical design documents. You’ll manage programming task schedule updates and coordinate with multiple teams. Bug fixes and maintenance of the existing systems which are deployed on Cloud server providers. Identify, analyse and correct common issues in a multi-threaded game engine, such as load times, memory usage and CPU/GPU performance. Deliver high quality, robust, secure and maintainable code

In this role a typical day may involve discussing functional requirements directly with various domain stakeholders and implementing APIs to communicate these requirements, building dashboards to monitor the health of a server and writing automated tests that validate a weight and balance calculation.

You’ll have:

  • Proven experience in developing, deploying, debugging and testing backend cloud applications

  • Good technical skills and demonstrable knowledge of at least one backend programming language Kotlin / Java.

  • Confidence in balancing both technical and communication skills, with the ability to adjust to your audience.

  • Attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset.

  • Be comfortable learning and adapting to cross functional requirements from various domains

  • AWS (EC2, ECS, Lambda, ELB, S3, SQS, RDS, DynamoDB, Cloud Watch, Cloud Formation, Autoscaling)
