Salary – $180 - $200k + bonus

My client is a scale-up med-tech organisation that has been making waves. They have a significant amount of feature development to conduct as their customer base continues to grow. They're an organisation based in Australia, however their product has global impact. They are looking for a smart, Lead / Principal / Staff Developer to join and add value to the team with technical expertise with a potential path into management.

The organisation has circa 30 people with 8 Software Engineers.

A hesitation would be joining a scale-up in the current economic climate. My client is cash rich, and growing at a steady pace. They're not interested in hyperscale with an eventual headcount reduction.

Requirements:

  • You are a Lead / Principal / Staff Engineer that has primarily been working across the MEAN stack (Mongo, Express, Angular, Node). There is a heavy emphasis on Angular for this role, you'll have to be comfortable with working in Angular 17
  • AWS Cloud and DevOps experience is also a must. Your position will have you working in and around the cloud with no dedicated DevOps team
  • Secure Code / Experience working with security audits (pen tests etc) is ideal as the organisation continues to fortify their platform
  • Solution Design / Architecture experience is desired. We're looking for someone who hears an idea and is already designing it in their head, and then will build it with the assistance of the current mid-senior level developers
  • Previous management experience isn't necessary, as long as you're someone who has proven experience of mentoring engineers that are more junior than you, you're the right fit
  • Outstanding written and oral communication is a must
