The Opportunity

As our Senior Finance Analyst responsible for Veolia’s City of Gold Coast account, you will be responsible for one of our key relationships. You will maintain a complex financial model and work closely with the client to ensure Veolia is delivering on our contracted obligations from a finance perspective.

You will be responsible for monthly payment claim preparation, submission and verification, as well as all development of financial plans, including budgets, target prices and forecasts. You will also perform detailed analysis of all in-scope business performance, including revenues and costs, and support the effective commercial management of this important business relationship.

This is a great opportunity for a finance professional who is not just commercially savvy and an excellent analyst with a track record of adding business insight, but is also a great communicator and relationship manager who is ready to take on a client-facing role.

What you'll be responsible for

Completion of monthly payment claim cycles to a high quality level  Perform detailed analysis of business performance, including operational cost, unit cost and unit rates, commodity revenues In partnership with the Program Manager and Finance Manager Resource Recovery QLD, driving the financial performance of the contract Assist in the preparation and review of capital expenditure requests and monitoring and forecasting of ongoing expenditure Support and advise the management team on productivity and efficiency improvements and offer recommendations for reducing operating expenditures.

What you'll need to be successful

Relevant tertiary qualification in Finance and Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent  Demonstrated on the job experience in a similar finance role for a of minimum 3-4 years. Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis/reporting within a commercial business partnering capacity. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of P&L drivers of performance.
