  • Full time - Term Contract (temporary up to 2-Year contract)

About the Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join CAMHS as a Clinician, where you will be responsible for:

  • Accepts accountability for the outcomes of clinical practice for children, adolescents, and their families with mental health issues.
  • Is responsible for addressing any inconsistencies between practice and policy.
  • Ensures optimal consumer care, focusing on achieving the best possible health and recovery outcomes for consumers.
  • Involves the provision of assessment, education, counselling, and group work, which are essential components of care.
  • Involves consultation and liaison with other professional disciplines and non-governmental organizations to support consumer care.
  • Uses clinical knowledge, skills, and experience in providing direction, support, orientation, and education to other staff members.
  • Leads and participates in action research projects, quality improvement activities, and policy development within the practice setting.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • The relevant degree/registration/qualification for your respective discipline
  • Extensive clinical experience in the treatment and management of complex child and adolescent mental health issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct mental health assessment and therapeutic interventions of a complex nature with children, adolescents with emotional and behavioural difficulties
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to work with individuals and families for positive mental health outcomes and to foster productive working relationships across disciplines
