Job summary
Successful applicants will be invited to attend an Assessment Centre at Carew House, Bodmin on 221st June 2024. This will be a morning or afternoon to be confirmed.
Join our nursing team for our 18 bedded ward at Launceston Community Hospital. This role will require the post holder to be committed to the on-going development of the ward and multi disciplinary team working, aiming to deliver the highest standards of patient care to our predominantly elderly patients.
Post available undertaking a range of Early, Late and Night duties on a rotational basis in order to support 24 hour nursing care, 7 days per week. Although based at Launceston Community Hospital, a flexible working approach is required to support Stratton Community Hospital as service needs require.
Main duties of the job
The purpose of the post is:
To assist in the delivery of clinical care, planned and assessed by the Registered Nurses. To carry out care / other duties under indirect supervision of a Registered Nurse and/or Senior Health Care Assistant. Support care on a day-to-day basis for all patients in the clinical area in a manner sensitive to the individual clients needs and wishes, acknowledging their rights and beliefs at all times Contribute to resource management within the clinical areaKey Dimensions of the post are:

Essential
Experienced in communicating with a range of people, in writing and verbally Willingness and competency to complete the Care Certificate within set timeframe Willingness and competency to complete further training for progression to Healthcare Assistant within agreed timeframe
Desirable
Level 2 qualification or experience in a care environment
Skills, Apptitude, Knowledge and Abilities
Essential
Willing to assist and support patients, carers and staff as needed Ability to cope with a varied workload Ability to use a computer for work and training purposes
