Join us in a role with unique responsibilities
You will play a significant role in the smooth running and efficiency of our new Day Hospital. You will be responsible for providing best-in-class services to our patients undertaking gynaecology/fertility, ophthalmology, plastics, and dental procedures. You will also maintain a professional standard of practice for all services provided.
The Procurement Officer will be responsible for:
- ordering, receiving, inspecting, storage, and distribution of stock and various consumables.
- conducting stocktakes on a regular basis and undertaking patient-related movement tasks on a daily basis.
- managing supplier relationships as related to administration and operational issues.
- providing reassurance, best-in-class care, and emotional support to patients and their carers.
- complying with appropriate work practices to maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment; and
- continually reviewing work methods and procedures in order to identify opportunities for improvement.

You will be sensitive to the needs of patients and will be a passionate team player who has a commitment to quality, best practice, and workplace safety. Ideally, you will bring the following:
- Demonstrated experience as a procurement officer or in a similar role in a fast-paced environment (essential)
- Knowledge of healthcare quality systems, accreditation processes and regulation
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team
- Genuine desire to provide best-in-class patient care
- Flexible, can-do attitude
- Time management skills with an ability to cope under pressure
- A willingness to fit in and embrace the Monash IVF Group Principles: Care, Collaborate, Communicate, Commitment and Create.
