About your role

UGL’s Manufacturing and Maintenance business is looking for an Engineer - Asset Performance to join our team. This can be based in either Newcastle, Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne with travel as required.

Reporting to the Senior Engineer - Asset Performance, the role of Engineer - Asset Performance, you will provide expertise in Asset Performance Management (APM) and Asset Strategy Management (ASM). The position is pivotal to executing project deliverables and maximizing performance and reduce whole of life cost for the maintenance and operation of rollingstock.
Asset Performance Management (APM): Asset Reliability and Availability Performance Management
Asset Strategy Management (ASM): Life Cycle Costing, Optimised Maintenance Planning, Work Instructions.


About you

Experience in a reliability, asset management or asset driven environment, such as a maintenance department or maintenance modelling role. Bachelor’s degree in engineering and/or accredited Asset Management qualification Chartered Engineer Status or eligible to obtain Chartered Status Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyses possible solutions using technical experience and judgement Excellent communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally. Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast-paced environment with multiple and competing demands. Advanced skills in computers: MS Word, Excel, email. Strong skills in Data Analytics and well versed in probability, statistics and report writing Experience gained in the rail, automotive, military, defense, avionics or any other safety critical environment A working knowledge of ISO55000 & ISO55001
