About the Role:
Synechron is looking to hire a Solution Architect for Sydney location
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain APIs using API gateways, API catalogs, and service mesh technologies. Implement strong API security practices, including authentication, authorization, and encryption. Define and enforce API governance policies and procedures. Manage the entire API lifecycle, from design and development to deployment, operation, and retirement. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, engineering, security) to define and implement API strategies. Stay up-to-date with the latest API trends and technologies. Apply Cloud SRE principles to ensure reliability and scalability of the API platform. Understand BIAN service domains and semantic models for standards compliant API design.Qualifications:
7+ years of experience as an API Platform Engineer or Architect or similar role. Strong understanding of API gateways, API catalogs, and service mesh technologies (e.g., Kong, Apigee, Tyk, Istio). Experience with Cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). Proven ability to design and implement secure and scalable APIs. Experience with API governance frameworks and best practices. Familiarity with API-first development principles. Experience with Cloud SRE practices. Understanding of BIAN service domains and semantic models. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
