Mills recruitment is seeking a Senior Project / Cost Controller to join our client on 12+ month contract to assist in current green and brownfields projects.
 
The Company
 
The client is a project management and engineering company that develops and executes projects for the resources and infrastructure sectors. They deliver greenfield and brownfield projects across multiple industries including mining and minerals processing, iron and steel, petrochemicals, oil refining, chemicals, manufacturing, and water treatment facilities. Their projects span globally across Asia, Australasia, Europe, North America, and South America.
 
The Role

  • Cost Claims and Variations Management: Prepare, review, and manage cost claims and variations across multiple projects.
  • Invoicing and Finance Coordination: Review invoicing and coordinate with the finance department to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Project Reporting: Work closely with the Project Management team to assist with the preparation of all required project reports, including earned value progressing, cost control, and schedule review.
  • Project Controls Adherence: Ensure project controls processes are adhered to throughout the projects, including project setup, reporting, change management, and progress claims.
  • Ad-hoc Duties: Perform any other ad-hoc duties as requested by the Project Management / Project Controls team.

 What you will need:

  • Must have a high level of attention to detail, strong communication skills and ability work within a team.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Project Controls role.
  • Capacity to learn and work with the in-house project controls software – ProjectController.
  • Familiarity with BHP and Rio Tinto processes and procedures is highly desirable.
  • Must be an advanced Microsoft Excel user with the ability to accurately interpret, transform, and compare data sets.
  • his is anticipated to be a 12+ month contract, with potential for extension based on project needs and performance.
