Position Details

Our Lady of Grace School seeks a qualified teacher with early years experience as a Parental Leave replacement for the remainder of 2024. This is a part-time position with an FTE of 0.6.

Our Lady of Grace School is a school formed in the tradition of the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth that has served the education needs of families in the North Beach area for over 60 years. We are a Christ centered, child focused triple stream school. Our Lady of Grace seeks talented, enthusiastic and contemporary teachers who are lifelong learners of the teaching craft.

The Strategic Plan supported by an OLG Vision for Learning details, our school’s approach to the education of the whole child in a catholic community.  With a strong history of quality early years learning and early intervention Our Lady of Grace seeks to meet the diverse needs of all its children. Wellbeing of staff, students and parents is a focus of the Strategic Plan. Literacy and Numeracy are a focus with our current whole school practices to ensure we embed the 5 Teacher Practices across teaching and learning. Collaboration and application of best classroom practise with an emphasis on shared and collective efficacy is the hallmark of teachers at Our Lady of Grace.

Selection Criteria

•    A deep and demonstrated understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework
•    An awareness of the Our Lady of Grace Early Years Charter and Early Years Development
•    Ability to develop and nurture respectful relationships and a shared responsibility for all students
•    Collaborative and generous attitude to collective efficacy and professional growth
•    A sound understanding of the West Australian Curriculum
•    Able to differentiate the learning program for all students, assess and use data to adjust the learning appropriately
•    Excellent oral and written communication
•    Strong ICT skills and the ability to seamlessly integrate ICT into the learning
•    An evident sense of joy, optimism and humour.

Qualifications Required

4 years Early Childhood Trained.
