The Opportunity

We're hiring a Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Specialist to join us at Toll Group In this role, you'll spearhead the implementation and continual enhancement of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) practices across our workshops in Western Australia and Adelaide. As a key player, you'll provide hands-on advice and support to our leaders, ensuring compliance with vehicle standards and maintenance protocols.

Based in Kewdale, you'll report to the National HSE Manager and enjoy regular travel to our workshops. If you're passionate about driving a safety-first culture and making a real impact, we want to hear from you

A day in the life of a Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Specialist at Toll:

  • Engaging in the “Safety Obsessed” cultural change program, including provision of support and initiatives to line management to achieve the goal of a safety obsessed workplace.

  • Ensure that all operations are conducted in accordance with Toll HSE and compliance standards and procedures to ensure the safety to our people, the community and the environment.

  • Develop and review Site HSE and compliance Plans, in partnership with key business stakeholders ensuring alignment with Business Unit HSE Plan and assist the business in achieving all objectives and targets.

  • Participate in management review and management of change activities, as required.

  • Support business leaders in coordinating HSE and compliance activities at the site level.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

  • Cert IV or Diploma in Work Health and Safety.

  • 5+ years practical experience in a HSE role with a focus on either workshop or mechanical environment.

  • Excellent written and communication skills, including the ability to liaise effectively with fellow team members, management, stakeholders and customers.

  • Competent computing skills, advanced Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
